On the way to Patagonia
I just boarded the plane to Patagonia, another bucket list moment. I’m still processing the fact that I’m about to visit one of those places I’ve been dreaming about for so many years.
I must say that visiting Patagonia, together with the Amazon and Machu Picchu, was one of the main goals I had for this trip. I mean I also enjoy visiting cities a lot, but something about being in nature, no matter how challenging it is, just resonates with me and just makes me feel home.
It’s when I’m surrounded by nature that my mind gets to fly and wander through waves of creativity, deep thoughts and reflections. It’s almost like meditating without even noticing it, your mind just automatically gets into quiet mode as soon as you leave all the noise behind and just get surrounded by trees, mountains, water, rocks…it’s where I get to know my own self in its deepest form, where I unveil layers of my own being and discover more and more about who I am, how I am, what I’m capable of. It’s where I reflect on my successes, my accomplishments, my mistakes, my darkest moments. It’s also where I learn with all of that, where I get some of my brightest ideas, some of my dumbest ideas too, some of my plans. It’s where my mind thrives.
I don’t think there is a “right” way to travel. I see a lot of judgement usually going on about the way other people travel, but I truly think the right way is the way that makes the most sense to you (as long as it doesn’t affect negatively others and the environment). The right way for me is to see everything: nature and city, the rich and the poor areas, the beautiful and the ugly, the hectic and the quiet…all the realities that exist in this earth, so that I can know the planet I live the best way possible. However, if I had to choose, seeing nature would always win. No matter what buildings the man builds, no matter how high or different, it will never beat a mountain.
So let’s see how Patagonia goes! 😉
XOXO,
